Halloween

The weather starts to cool down, the sun sets a little earlier, and you can wear cozy sweaters and cute beanies… yay Fall has arrived! And Halloween starts the beginning of my favorite time of year- the holidays!

This year I decided to throw a Halloween party that would work for our family now, something that works for both adults and teens.

Where: Our house backyard. The outdoors work well for a Halloween party in Southern California, it’s not too cold and perfect weather to set up an outdoor movie, a fog machine and a fire pit for roasting s’mores.

When: Saturday before Halloween. If Halloween doesn’t land on a weekend, I like the weekend before to celebrate. But so do a lot of people, so make sure to send out your invites at the beginning of October.

I love parties that have 3 well thought out things: great food, great drinks, and activities for everyone to enjoy!

Activities:

  • Outdoor movie

  • Mini pumpkin decorating

  • S’mores roasting

  • Caramel apple dipping bar

  • Photo Booth

  • Dancing/karaoke

  • Costume contest

Games:

  • Prize Pong

  • Blind tasting game

  • Donuts on a string

  • Oreo face
